Meet Our Founding Vintners Members
I’m thrilled to introduce the first ten founding Vintner Members joining Vintners Social Club by K. LAZ!
Our founding Vintner Member community now brings together ten extraordinary producers who represent the depth, history and future of Napa Valley.
What makes VSC unique is that our Vintner Members are not simply wineries whose wines will be featured- they are active members of our community.
Throughout the year, the vintners, principals, estate directors, growers, and winemakers behind these iconic wineries will host intimate tastings, educational seminars, vineyard conversations, panel discussions, and other exclusive experiences, sharing current and library wines from their cellars while providing members with uncommon access to their expertise, perspectives, and stories behind their wines.
These wineries represent the very best of California wine country. Their commitment to excellence, stewardship of extraordinary vineyards, and dedication to producing world-class wines embody everything VSC stands for. I'm honored to welcome them as our first five founding Vintner Members.
Our goal is to have the majority of our founding community in place before we open at the end of October. We encourage those interested to enroll now, while space is available and before we open membership to the public. Membership will run through the first anniversary of opening, ensuring a full year of benefits once VSC is operational.
These are the first ten, with more founding Vintner Members to be announced in the weeks ahead. Together, they are helping us create a Club where the people behind California’s most celebrated wines are not simply featured, but are an active part of the community and the member experience.
We’re also busy building our calendar of VSC Signature Experiences and look forward to sharing more with VSC members soon, along with our provisions menu and the private clubs across the country and abroad with which we’ve finalized reciprocal benefits. This month, we’ll also begin building our Members Reserve Wine List. There’s a lot taking shape at VSC as we move closer to opening, and we can’t wait to share what’s ahead.
Founding Vintner Members
Under the stewardship of Bettina Bryant and winemaker KK Carothers, Bryant Estate has continued the legacy of one of Napa Valley's most iconic estates, renowned for its extraordinary Pritchard Hill vineyard and unwavering pursuit of excellence.
Led by Naoko Dalla Valle and Maya Dalla Valle, the estate continues to craft some of Napa Valley's most celebrated wines while honoring a remarkable legacy of excellence in Oakville.
Under the leadership of estate director Armand de Maigret and winemaker Nick Gislason, Screaming Eagle has become one of the world's most sought-after wines and a global benchmark for rarity, precision, and uncompromising excellence.
Under the leadership of Bruce and Heather Phillips, together with winemakers Françoise Peschon and Isabelle Straka—our first K. LAZ alum!— VHR has become one of Napa Valley's most revered estates, reflecting generations of stewardship, exceptional vineyards, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Guided by Beth Novak Milliken, Spottswoode has earned worldwide respect for wines of elegance, longevity, and balance, alongside a longstanding commitment to stewardship and sustainable farming.
Rooted in the heart of Oakville, Opus One is one of Napa Valley’s defining estates, bringing together four exceptional estate vineyards with the heritage and traditions of Bordeaux to produce wines of precision, elegance and age-worthiness. Longtime winemaker Michael Silacci and Vice President of National Sales & Guest Relations Scott Gould have each played an integral role in shaping the estate and its enduring legacy.
Fifth-generation grower Chris Morisoli returned home to Rutherford to carry forward his family’s farming legacy alongside his father, Gary. Today, Chris is helping lead the next chapter of this historic Rutherford vineyard, farmed by the Morisoli family since 1902 and rooted in some of the appellation’s most prized benchland.
Founded by owner and winemaker Chris Phelps, AD VIVUM is a singular expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from Sleeping Lady Vineyard at the base of the Mayacamas in Yountville, shaped by Chris’s decades of experience and meticulous focus on balance, texture and purity.
Proprietors Mark Pulido and Donna Walker, together with winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, have built Pulido~Walker around an uncompromising commitment to single-vineyard wines that express some of Napa Valley’s most distinctive sites, including their estates on Mt. Veeder and in Yountville.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Laura Jones and Brian Ball, Sphaerics is an exciting new California project focused on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from distinctive vineyard sites, combining Laura’s experience at Aubert and Domaine Armand Rousseau with a classically inspired approach to winemaking.
